It’s time for a little spring cleaning of your closets ladies! A friend of mine told me about this great event coming up in April and I was able to find all the details at Ohio.com and from one of the event’s coordinators, Jill McKinney. The 10th Annual Princess Night Project will be hosted by Altrusa International of Akron on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at the Family of Faith Church (formerly Church of the Master), 800 E. Market St., Akron.
This event is a chance for high school girls ages 16 and up to choose one free dress from the wide selection of gowns and accessories available that day, in addition to having numerous opportunities to win prom related prizes.
Where do the dresses come from you ask? The dresses available at the event are donations from local donors like yourself!!! If interested, the sponsors will take new or nearly new, clean dresses in addition to shoes, purses, and other accessories that will help outfit a young girl for her prom.
Anyone wishing to donate items for the project can drop them off from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, April 16th, at the church or contact Jill McKinney at 330-607-4265 to arrange a drop-off at an earlier time.
Please consider donating to this great cause! As added incentive, your charitable donation will be tax deductible!
